Gogurt Tubes and Jesus’ Love

>My son loves to repurpose all kinds of “containers” (and I use that term loosely) into water bottles. He hardly enjoys drinking water out of glasses, but give him something like, oh . . . a pill bottle, and he’ll drink water out of it all day long, making about 50,000 trips to the sink to keep refilling it. And he loves it!

Yesterday it was a used gogurt tube, go figure.

But it got me to thinking. Aren’t we all, in some way, used gogurt tubes? And isn’t God the great repurposer? He loves to pour his love into us and then keep refilling us as his love is poured out and drunk dry.

Yeah, people could just go straight to Him for love and refreshment, and they often do, but He gets a kick out of using us to be his vessels in the same way Isaiah gets a kick out of drinking tap water from anything old thing that will hold it.

Doesn’t it feel good to know whatever shape, whatever form we can all be repurposed to hold Jesus’ love? And God enjoys us for it!
