Book Review: The Power of Knowing God by Kay Arthur

The Power of Knowing GodI’ve heard a lot of good things about Kay Arthur Bible studies over the years, but this was the first one I’ve completed.  Let me just say, that the study lived up to it’s reputation–I do feel like I know God more.  There is a great deal of engagement with Scripture and the questions reinforce the designated scripture passages again and again.  I didn’t feel that the lessons were too difficult or took too much time to finish.  However, I am not one for all the underlining, diagramming, and marking that Kay Arthur is known for; I felt it to simply be distracting busy-work.  But that is really a matter of personal preference, for half-way through I stopped doing all the artwork and got just as much out of it.

While I did this as an individual study, I think it would be good in a small-group setting and would be rather easy to facilitate as it has leadership points written into it.
